We at Homes of St. Mark believe that every child deserves a nurturing and permanent family. There are over 800 children waiting to be adopted from foster care in the Houston area. The children who wait are of various ages, racial backgrounds, and/or members of sibling groups. The majority of these children have been removed from their birth families by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (Children's Protective Services) due to various types of abuse, including neglect and abandonment. Many of these children have special needs because of the abuse they have suffered.
Homes of St. Mark has a contract with the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services to place children who are in their care into approved foster care and adoptive homes.
