Founded in 1955, the Homes of St. Mark, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, is a charitable children's services agency. Originally founded through the benevolent works of a small group of women under the wing of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, it was chartered as a separate nonprofit organization in 1957. We are not affiliated with any church or religion.
The mission of Homes of St. Mark is to provide children and families with alternative services for family formation, preservation and change. As an agency we presently serve foster and adoptive children that have been removed from their parents and are in the temporary conservatorship of the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. We also serve children and birth families through our maternity programs where children are voluntarily placed for adoption and provide post adoption services for adult adopted children. The Homes of St. Mark also provides orientation, training and support groups for families seeking to adopt children and post adoption services such as search and reunions.
